Passed during the 356th Administrative Meeting on May 10, 2017
National Taiwan Normal University Library (hereafter “the Library”) has established these Guidelines for students who suspend their studies to access the Library during the suspension period.
To apply for a suspended student library card, the student must first complete NTNU’s suspension of studies process, then make an application at the circulation desk of the Main Library with their original student ID and a deposit of NT$2000. The card will be valid until the end of the suspension period. The card allows students to borrow 15 books at a time for 30 days. An additional usage fee of NT$500 per semester or NT$1000 per year will allow students to borrow up to 30 books for 60 days.
Suspended students should present their card to borrow books according to these Guidelines. They should inform the Library upon resuming their studies to settle all books borrowed and late fees incurred, at which point the deposit will be returned interest-free, and they will be able to access libraries as regular students.
Suspended student library cards allow only the cardholder to read and borrow books from the Library. Other regulations are subject to relevant rules of the Library.
These Guidelines are implemented after being reviewed and passed by the NTNU Academic Fund Committee and Administrative Meeting. The same shall apply to all subsequent amendments.
