Assisting NTNU faculty to set up ORCID is the highlight service of the library in recent years. NTNU is now a member of the ORCID. With consent from the faculty and the researchers, the subject librarian can assist to maintain the account and the reference. The faculty will get a 16-digit systematic identifier after applying the ORCID on the library website. The researcher can use the ORCID in paper submission, grant application and diverse research processes to ensure the exposure of the research outcomes. The library will integrate this with the Faculty Performance Management System to ease the burden of maintaining the research publications.
